The New Building's Studio Group System Integration Project of Wuxi Radio and TV Group
 

 

This system is the supporting project of the new Wuxi Broadcast Media Center and is composed of 4 parts: the video and audio system of the Economy Channel Studio, the video and audio system of the News Comprehensive Channel Live Broadcast Studio, the video and audio system of the City Information Channel Live Broadcast Studio and the signal transmission system of the Media Center. In order to meet the two channels' requirements of program expansion and business process innovation, fulfill the two channels' requirements of program production, The system designs of the News Comprehensive Channel Live Broadcast Studio and the City Information Channel Live Broadcast Studio, stressing on its live news broadcast features and reserve some room for expansion in the system configuration. The signal transmission system of the Media Center realizes the satellite signal reception and the signal exchanges between the new studio and the playout system in the old building.
NDT provides Wuxi Radio and TV Group with safe, perfect and flexible system solutions which employ Sony switcher system with high-reliability, high-stability and high-flexibility, the wholly new EVERTZ 7700 3G peripheral processing module and the TALLY scheduling system and monitoring system researched & developed by NDT.
Both the video and audio systems of The News Comprehensive Channel Live Broadcast Studio and the City Information Channel Live Broadcast Studio employ the method of "1+2", namely one studio center with two program recording areas.
The primary/standby switcher is the core of the studio's video system. All signal resources of the two program recording areas are linked to the primary/standby switcher. The 1 auxiliary output bus of the standby switcher is used as the emergency switch channel. Generally, the live primary signals are output from PGM and the standby signals are output from auxiliary output bus. If the primary switcher malfunctions before a live broadcast, the standby switcher will be used instead; if the primary switcher malfunctions during the live broadcast, the auxiliary output bus will be used for emergency switch to ensure that the broadcast will not be interrupted, and enable the standby switcher to continue the broadcast.
The flexible system design guarantees that one live broadcast at a program recording area and one recorded broadcast at another program recording area. Without affecting the system's security, reliability and operation simplicity, the system's economical efficiency and scalability are improved significantly. The whole system has achieved the expected goal of the TV station within the time limit for the project (10 days), which has been confirmed by relevant leaders from Wuxi Radio and TV Group.
